The prospects for Azerbaijan-Russia cooperation in the industrial and energy sectors were discussed.
As reported by AZERTAG, the discussions took place during the “round table” held on September 27 within the framework of the IX Azerbaijan-Russian Interregional Forum at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The “round table” was attended by the representatives of the public and private sectors of Azerbaijan and Russia.Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke about the industrial potential of our countries and cooperation between the enterprises operating in these sectors.Samir Valiyev, Deputy Minister of Energy, spoke about the energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, and the potential for expanding ties. He noted the possibility of building new joint power lines between Azerbaijan and Russia.The deputy minister said that a meeting of the working group on Azerbaijan-Russia energy cooperation will be held in Moscow on October 5-6.Alexey Repik, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council, spoke about the cooperation between the two countries in the industrial sector. He emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects. At the “round table”, the representatives of various government agencies and companies discussed prospects for cooperation, and held presentations.
